Issue One

Issue One of Smudge was ‘hosted’ by an editorial team from Headley Park Primary School. The magazine included stories, cartoons, puzzles and jokes as well as an 'Agony Artist' column where celebrity artist, Tracey Emin, responded to the editorial team’s tricky questions about art.

Unfortunately there wasn't room to include everything in the magazine but you can now see exclusive content, including an interview with Billie Piper, right here on the Smudge website.

Launch event

The first issue was launched on 27 March 2007 at a glittering event at the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol. The editorial team arrived in style in a stretch limo and gave a short presentation before revealing a stack of magazines and handing them out to the gathered crowd.
